This is a discourse delivered by Poojya Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha in the “Srimad Bhagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram”. This is a comprehensive discussion on Bhagavatam, which is a splendid narration of devotion, truth and values of the human mind.

Generally, Srimad Bhagavatam is known to be a scripture based on the genesis, growth and fulfilment of devotion. But Swamiji says that it is not only a text of devotion but an unusual splendid narration of Truth, values and ideals bearing upon the human mind and intelligence.

Srimad Bhagavatam helps us to comprehend, experience and realize the supreme transcendental truth which is established in our heart. It speaks about that divine presence which is the source of the entire creation. The inspiration and strength to face the onslaught of worldly distress and grief can only be obtained by our reliance on the Supreme existence.

To know and understand its real potential and magnificence one must turn within and contemplate deeply on this inner being, says Swamiji. The entire visual world is an illusion and is a jugglery of Consciousness. Understanding it to be all-powerful and all-pervading, Swamiji concludes that one must surrender wholeheartedly to the will and wish of this vibrant, immortal Self.
